Stay safe on esukuro

Most agents are honest. These rules protect you from the ones who aren't.
Never pay to view
No genuine agent charges an “inspection fee” before you have seen a property in person. If anyone asks for money before a viewing, do not pay, and report them from inside the conversation. We act on every report.
Pay only after you have seen it
- View the exact unit, not “one like it”.
- Get every fee in writing before paying anything. Listings on esukuro show the total to move in — hold the agent to it.
- Pay into a business or landlord account, get a receipt, and get a signed tenancy agreement.
Check the badge
Verified agent means: An esukuro reviewer compared a government-issued photo ID with a selfie the agent submitted, and checked that the name matches the storefront. It confirms who you are dealing with — not how they behave, and not that a property is available. This is a manual document review. It is not a check against the national identity (NIMC) register. It does not guarantee the deal — so never pay before you have viewed the property.
Keep it in the app until you have viewed
Messages in esukuro are a record. If an agent pushes you to move to another channel before a viewing, be cautious.
Report anything that feels wrong
Your identity is never shown to the person you report. We tell you the outcome.
